Frequently
Asked Questions
When will I be billed?
Billing is processed and sent on a monthly cycle at the end of
the month for Landscape Maintenance service performed during
that month. Billing is sent upon completion for Landscape Installation
and other services.
How are additional services billed
or charged for?
If requested these services will
be bid or we can perform additional services on a cost plus basis.
Why
not hire a nursery to act as the landscape designer?
We address each project according to the needs. We listen
to each customer's requests and ideas to incorporate these into
a solution. We use materials which accomplish a goal as opposed
to what is on hand at the nursery. We solve problems as opposed
to creating future work for us. We work with the customer on
phasing in a project over time in consideration of budgets.
What is a turnkey landscape project?
Turnkey means that we will oversee
your project from the initial visit to the conceptual design
stage to the finishing touches to make it complete.
What is the typical design process?
Set up an appointment to discuss
goals and objectives. After the initial appointment we will send
a proposal for design services. After accepting the proposal
we will start the Site Evaluation process of gathering field
data and generation of a base map of the property. RLC will then
start to work on the Conceptual Design where when complete we
will set an appointment with the customer to discuss the plan
and any necessary modifications or adjustments. We will then
take the Conceptual Design and revise as needed creating a more
refined or detailed drawing for construction use. Upon completion
of the design we will include a proposal for for the customer
to obtain bids or we can present the customer with our bid and
proceed with the installation. Typically if RLC performs a designated
percentage of the project installation we will refund a portion
or all of the design fees.
What
about pricing, how, what, etc.?
Each project is presented as a custom job and it is difficult
to give generalized pricing for services. Some projects are bid
at a calculated rate based upon occurrences while others are
based upon materials, labor. and equipment. We will gladly send
a proposal for your review that will describe in detail the job
and pricing.
How long does it take for me to receive
a proposal from RLC?
Typically we should have a proposal to the customer within
one week depending upon the season and complexity. We will let
you know when you should be receiving a proposal when we meet.
What if it rains?
If it rains and delays
your project we will be in contact to arrange a new project date
if you request. Typically rain will only delay us a short amount
of time. If it rains on your scheduled mowing date. we will perform
services on the next business day or just as soon as the rain
stops.
